May's book is We Gon' Be Alright: Notes On Race and Resegregation by Jeff Chang. This book is a collection of Chang’s essays exploring topics such as the concept of diversity, the Black Lives Matter Movement, #OscarsSoWhite and even Beyoncé’s Lemonade. He speaks about these issues as an Asian American, and he also addresses the complexities of Asian American identity in his book.
May's book discussion will be hosted on Monday, May 15, 2017 at the Greenwell Springs Branch Library from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
