Voices: Community Summit
Diverse representation in decision making and community building is integral to resilient and democratic cities, nations and worlds. The 821 Project believes that in order for our local and global community to fully address social issues, everyone's perspectives and knowledge must be represented. Moreover, 821 believes that the power to change communities belongs to the residents of these communities, and there are many ways that we can make a difference.
With this in mind, The 821 Project hosts community summits titled "Voices." This community series creates an accessible and inclusive forum for people in our region to develop solutions to problems that they see. The summit also empowers everyone to feel as though their knowledge is valuable and important, with high school students, college students, educators, activists, artists, political leaders, religious leaders, and businesspersons in the same room and at the same table.
