Black Voices In The Humanities: A Speaker Panel

January 12, 2020

The liberal arts and humanities are often ignored and diminished in favor of other areas of study. Fields such as political science, sociology, the arts and language studies play a pivotal role in promoting critical thinking, communication, life learning and creative problem solving.

At the same time, not all voices are heard in the liberal arts and humanities. Black voices, for instance, are often underrepresented. Join The 821 Project for an informative speaker panel featuring the voices of Black students and teachers who are in the liberal arts and humanities.

Hear the experiences of Black students and teachers in these fields and learn why the liberal arts and humanities need more support in our local and global community.
