About the event
Each year on August 19th, the United Nations World Humanitarian Day honors those who promote humanitarianism in their communities and those who have sacrificed their lives to build peace, promote justice and give the most vulnerable in our world a helping hand.
No matter who we are and where we come from, the humanitarian spirit is something that we can all embody. Celebrate World Humanitarian Day with us on August 19, 2018, at the Carver Branch Library from 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM by joining our “creative conversation.” We want to know what you think the world needs more of and we also want you to show us too!
All supplies will be included. This event is free and open to the public, but let us know you're coming by registering on our website!
