The 821 Project is a southeast Louisiana based nonprofit organization that promotes global citizenship by providing intercultural and social justice education programming.
Our programs include workshops, speaker panels, community dialogues and other appropriate programming. They expand awareness of cultural issues that impact members of our local, national and global community and serve as a forum for the formation of intercultural interpersonal relationships among members of our local community.
821’s areas of focus are in social justice and in intercultural/global citizenship education.
Our values are social consciousness, global citizenship, cultural awareness and multicultural community empowerment, values we believe should transcend race, age, gender and other backgrounds and identities.
